Product Description:
Rikarab DSR is a dual-action, delayed-release oral formulation combining Rabeprazole Sodium (20 mg), a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), with Domperidone (10 mg), a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist with prokinetic properties. This combination is clinically indicated for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), functional dyspepsia, and other upper gastrointestinal motility disorders.

Formulated to provide both acid suppression and enhanced gastric motility, Rikarab DSR is engineered for once-daily administration, offering sustained symptom control and improved patient compliance.

Indications:

• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

• Erosive Esophagitis

• Functional Dyspepsia

• Nausea and Vomiting associated with delayed gastric emptying

Mechanism of Action:

• Rabeprazole inhibits the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells, leading to potent and sustained suppression of gastric acid secretion.

• Domperidone enhances gastrointestinal motility and accelerates gastric emptying by antagonizing peripheral dopamine receptors without significant central nervous system effects.

Dosage & Administration:
One capsule daily, to be taken 15–30 minutes before a meal, or as directed by a healthcare provider.

Contraindications & Precautions:

• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Rabeprazole, Domperidone, or any component of the formulation.

• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment or underlying cardiac conditions due to potential QT prolongation risk associated with Domperidone.

• Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation unless clearly indicated by a physician.
